Do I have to change my current VM phone number when upgrading to this smartphone?
I currently have a samsung M575 with VM but what to upgrade to a smart phone. I really want to keep my number for obvious reasons like my professional contacts. Is keeping my number possible?

You have one of the payLo plans since the Samsung M575 from Virgin Mobile only works with payLo plans. You must change from payLo plans to Beyond Talk plans when you upgrade to the Kyocera Event or any other Beyond Talk smartphone.

You may end up buying a new phone and losing any money in your account. According to the Terms and Conditions:

• Virgin Mobile and payLo accounts are maintained separately. If you switch between a Virgin Mobile service plan and a payLo service plan, your Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable) may be closed and you may be given a new Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable).

• you may switch current service plans, including between Virgin Mobile and payLo. When you switch service plans, you will not receive a refund of any portion of any previously paid service charges and you will lose all of your remaining unused minutes, messages, and data allotment.

• Some service plans are available only on certain phones.

Yes, the Kyocera Event has Wi-Fi. All the other Beyond Talk phones have Wi-Fi, too.

Sorry, no. The Kyocera Event can only be used with Beyond Talk plans.
