All questions and answers on this board are from fellow Virgin Mobile customers. We help each other out here. Virgin Mobile staff monitor the content but generally don't comment here.

You should click 'Support' at the top of this page and ask Virgin Mobile's Customer Care via phone or email. You can dial *86 on your Virgin Mobile phone, too. You can also click LIVE CHAT on the left side of this web page, if available.

There's a couple of things you can do for yourself. You'll need to check your Virgin Mobile account on this webpage.

OUT OF MINUTES
If you ran out of minutes before the end of your month but she paid, then you can start your next month early to get all your minutes again. Click MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this web page. Select the RESTART MY PLAN button.

CHECK YOUR TOP-UP DATE
All calling, messaging, and data services will stop on your phone at the end of your month. (Individual services will stop when you've used your allotment of minutes, messages, or data.) A few days before that happens Virgin Mobile may send you a Virgin Alert, which is a free text message. You can check your "Top-Up by" date on your phone by selecting MY ACCOUNT on the menu. You can also check your "Pay by" date by clicking on MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this web page.

You described the $30 per month payLo plan. For the Kyocera Event, you'll need to move up to a Beyond Talk plan. You should be able to keep your phone number if you switch plans.

Buy the Beyond Talk phone. Then do a phone swap from your payLo phone to the Beyond Talk phone. You'll be prompted to change plans. Be aware that it's best to wait until the end of your month to change plans because you will lose any unused minutes in your account. According to the Terms and Conditions:

• Virgin Mobile and payLo accounts are maintained separately. If you switch between a Virgin Mobile service plan and a payLo service plan, your Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable) may be closed and you may be given a new Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable).

• you may switch current service plans, including between Virgin Mobile and payLo. When you switch service plans, you will not receive a refund of any portion of any previously paid service charges and you will lose all of your remaining unused minutes, messages, and data allotment.

• Some service plans are available only on certain phones.

• The payLo plans are only available when setting up a payLo phone from Virgin Mobile USA. None of the payLo phones have Android.
See the current payLo phones at: http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phone-plans/paylo-plans/overview/#overview

• The Beyond Talk plans are only available when setting up a Beyond Talk phone from Virgin Mobile USA.

Here's Virgin Mobile's answer from the FAQs:
Swap your Virgin Mobile phone online

If you're a current Virgin Mobile customer and you've bought a new phone, you'll need to do a phone swap to switch your mobile number to the new device. There is no charge to complete this transaction online.

Simply click here to log into My Account [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this web page] with your phone number and 6-digit PIN. Choose Swap Phones from the 'I Want To...' menu on the right of the Account Overview tab. Next, you will need to enter the ESN number from your new phone and follow the steps to complete the phone swap.

http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/929

When you do a phone swap everything inside your Virgin Mobile account will be transferred to your new phone such as phone number, plan, minutes, and any balance in your account.
