The Kyocera Kona can work with any payLo plan ($20, $30, and $40 per month) and Assurance Wireless plan. The Beyond Talk plans ($35, $45, and $55) are not available on the Kyocera Kona.

For the most accurate answer click 'Support' at the top of this page and ask Virgin Mobile's Customer Care via phone or email. You can dial *86 on your Virgin Mobile phone, too. You can also click LIVE CHAT on the left side of this web page, if available.

No. Virgin Mobile USA phones without 4G LTE(i.e. 3G phones) don't use SIM cards. Apple iPhones and the 4G LTE Android phones have special SIM cards that can only be used on Virgin Mobile phones. Virgin Mobile doesn't sell SIM cards.

Yes. See the ►◄ below to find your rates.

• The Beyond Talk and payLo plans only cover domestic calls and domestic messages to phones within the USA.

• There are no international plans at Virgin Mobile.

• Receiving an international call takes your regular minutes but there are no additional charges to receive an international call.

• There are additional charges to MAKE international calls using any Beyond Talk plan. International calls are charged at the international per-minute rate
for the country you're calling PLUS your standard airtime rate(minutes). ►For the international per-minute rate that you are calling, scroll down the Beyond
Talk page to 'International Rates' then select the country's region in the 'Select A Region' menu.◄
    http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phone-plans/beyond-talk-plans/overview/

• International text messages cost 15¢ each, inbound and outbound. International picture messages are not available.

• You can make international calls with any Beyond Talk or payLo phone with an active account.
So, you will need $$ in your Virgin Mobile account before making any international calls. Click 'Top-Up' at the top of this page to use a credit/debit card,
PayPal, or Virgin Mobile Top-Up card to put money into your Virgin Mobile account before sending an international call.

• Learn how to make international calls from your mobile phone

Make international calls the same way you would from any other phone. Dial 011 + the country code + the city code + the phone number.

Question
Can web usage be blocked so the user cannot access data at all?
asked 6 months ago
by

answer 1
Yes. You can restrict internet access in several ways. You can buy a plan with limited or no internet access, completely disable internet access, or use parental controls in the phone.

► CHOOSE A PLAN
There are 6 plans available from Virgin Mobile. The $30/month and $20/month payLo plans come closest to your needs.
payLo                          Monthly Talk Minutes                         Messages                               Web Access                 Virgin XL
         Plans                                                                                (Text, IM, Email, Picture)
       • $40/month                    UNLIMITED                                       UNLIMITED                                   50MB                    UNLIMITED
►   • $30/month                           1,500                                            1,500                                        30MB                    UNLIMITED
►   • $20/month                           400                                                 *                                                *                                *
*Text, email, IM messages cost 15¢ each, picture messages 25¢ each, web access $1.50/MB, Virgin XL 15¢/day

Note that web access is available for the $20/month plan for $1.50/MB which comes from any balance in your Virgin Mobile account. To prevent internet
access completely, you would still need to contact Virgin Mobile to disable web access or use a parental control on the phone. The payLo plans and the
payLo phones are described at:  http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phone-plans/paylo-plans/overview/

► DISABLE INTERNET ACCESS
You can block all web access on your phone by clicking on 'SUPPORT' at the top of this page to contact Virgin Mobile's Customer Care. However,
you cannot opt out of paying for the web access if it is part of your plan. From the Downloads-Media page under Mobile Web:       http://www.virginmobileusa.com/downloads/media

► PARENTAL CONTROLS
You can also block web access on some phones with Parental Controls. The payLo Kyocera Brio, Samsung Entro and Samsung Montage have built-in
Parental Controls. See the Owner's Manuals for parental control features at: http://www.virginmobileusa.com/phone-manuals-guides

It should. Bluetooth is backwards compatible. There should be no problems if your car and earpiece have Bluetooth® ver 2.1or higher. The Kyocera Kona has Bluetooth® ver 2.1. It supports Bluetooth® profiles: HFP 1.5, PBAP (server), HSP, GOEP, SDAP/SDP, OBEX, OPP, SPP. HFP is the hands-free profile and HSP is the headset profile.
