Sorry, Broadband2Go plans and the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro work strictly within the USA.

The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro uses the Sprint Nationwide Network which only extends throughout the US, Hawaii, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro does not roam across other networks either. For these reasons the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro cannot provide web access when located outside the USA. There is no option to make the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro work outside the USA.

Question
Force 4G mode?
I live in an area in which Sprint offers 4G service and 3G service, but not Wimax. I have heard that this device uses Wimax - is that correct? That being said, can this device be forced to operate only in 4G mode?

The Overdrive Pro must be in an area covered by Virgin Mobile's 4G WiMAX network to operate in 4G mode. And it can't access the 4G LTE network.

Yes, you can set the preferences to only use 4G WiMAX. See the Overdrive Pro user manual at http://www.virginmobileusa.com/resources/phones/prepaid/manual/OD-Pro-user-guide.pdf

• Check your COVERAGE on the top line of this webpage.
          OR
Follow the link at this FAQ: http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3164/kw/coverage

Be sure to select your coverage interest such as 4G WiMAX or data coverage(3G) in the boxes above the map.

'Coverage is not available everywhere and varies based on a number of factors. Our coverage maps provide high level estimates of our coverage areas when using your device outdoors under optimal conditions. Coverage isn't available everywhere. Estimating wireless coverage and signal strength is not an exact science. There are gaps in coverage within our estimated coverage areas that, along with other factors both within and beyond our control (network problems, software, signal strength, your wireless device, structures, buildings, weather, geography, topography, etc.), will result in dropped and blocked connections, slower data speeds, or otherwise impact the quality of services...'

NEW! The Overdrive Pro and the U600 USB Stick are both now Windows 8 and Mac OS 10.8x** compatible.

The Broadband2Go software is compatible with Windows (7, XP, Vista and 8**) and Mac OS (10.5x, 10.6x, 10.7x and 10.8x**). You'll also need administrative rights on your computer to install the software and drivers.

To attach the device to your computer, you'll need an available USB port.

**NOTE: The software on the U600 device does not support Windows 8 or Mac OS 10.8. A software download from the Virgin Mobile website is required. Do not follow the installation instructions provided with the device. Download the U600 User Guide and follow the installation instructions in the User Guide for Windows 8 or Mac OS 10.8.

Question
is it possible to only use it once, and then 3 months later, paying only when you need to use it?
specifics: I would like to use this for a weekend trip and put in $35 (most likely going to use 2gb) and only use it again 3 months later (and putting in $35 to use 2gb). Is this possible or would i have to put in $35 every month since using it for the first time?

There are 3 Broadband2Go plans: $35 per month, $55 per month, and $5 per day.
• Both the $35 and $55 per month plans will provide Unlimited data for 1 month when you have a 4G/3G Broadband2Go device (U600 or Overdrive Pro)
operating in 4G mode. ►Data access will continue after you receive 10GB of data but 4G speeds will be reduced to about 2Mbps. ◄

The $5 Daily plan will get you Unlimited data for 24 hours when you have a 4G/3G Broadband2Go device such as the U600 or Overdrive Pro operating at
4G speeds. Your speeds may drop to about 2Mbps when 500MB of data is reached but data access will continue for the rest of your 24 hours.

• When your 4G/3G device is operating at 3G speed then:
   - The $35/month plan provides 2GB of data at 3G speeds during your month.
   - The $55/month plan provides 5GB of data at 3G speeds during your month.
   - The $5/day plan provides 200MB of data at 3G speeds during your day.

► Before buying any 4G/3G Broadband2Go device you should check COVERAGE in your area on the top line of this webpage.
