4G is unlimited regardless ( This is because the 4G is actually Clear WiMax ....formerly ClearWire but now called Clear ) .....Sprint is the 3G which is limited. As another said check your coverage area before buying. Even if you do not have 4G where you live chances are you live near an area that does have the 4G and maybe in that case it still may be worth it to you while on the go ( you will be spoiled in the 4G area and when returning home will miss the higher speeds in the city that had 4G ).

Check Your Coverage
► Before buying any 4G/3G Broadband2Go device you should check COVERAGE in your area on the top line of this webpage.
            OR
Follow the link at this FAQ: http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5679

Be sure to select 4G WiMAX or data coverage(3G) on the tool.

4G Data
There are 3 Broadband2Go plans: $35 per month, $55 per month, and $5 per day.
• Both the $35 and $55 per month plans will provide ►Unlimited data for 1 month when you have a 4G/3G Broadband2Go device (U600 or Overdrive Pro)
operating in 4G mode◄. Data access will continue after you receive 10GB of data but 4G speeds will be reduced to about 2Mbps.

• When you have a 3G device OR your 4G/3G device is operating at 3G speed then:
   - The $35/month plan provides 2GB of data at 3G speeds during your month.

You cannot create a Mobile Hotspot with the LG Optimus Elite. Currently a Mobile Hotspot can be created only with the HTC Evo V, Samsung Galaxy S II(uses 3G or 4G WiMAX network), Samsung Galaxy S III(uses 3G or 4G LTE network) and both Apple iPhones (uses 3G network) using a Beyond Talk plan ($35, $45, or $55 per month) and the $15/month Hotspot option.
http://www.virginmobileusa.com/shop/cell-phones/#/sort_love/view_grid/feature_hotspot/

However, your LG Optimus Elite can USE a Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi created by a Broadband2Go plan and an Overdrive Pro.

The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro only works with 4G WiMAX and 3G on the Sprint Network. A solution for you would be to get the Beyond Talk Samsung Galaxy S III(uses 4G LTE network).

► You need the following to create a Mobile Hotspot:
       1. One of these phones: HTC Evo V, Samsung Galaxy S II(uses 4G WiMAX network), Samsung Galaxy S III(uses 4G LTE network) or either
               Apple iPhone (uses 3G network)
       2. One of the Beyond Talk plans ($35, $45, or $55 per month)
       3. The $15/month Hotspot option in your Virgin Mobile account
       http://www.virginmobileusa.com/shop/cell-phones/#/sort_love/view_grid/feature_hotspot/

Log into your account. [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page.] On the Account Overview tab click on 'Change My Plan'. From there you can
see the plans and options that are available for your phone.

Sorry, Broadband2Go plans and the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro work strictly within the USA. The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro doesn't use SIM cards.

The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro uses the Sprint Nationwide Network which only extends throughout the US, Hawaii, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. The Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro does not roam across other networks either. For these reasons the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro cannot provide web access when located outside the USA. There is no option to make the Broadband2Go Overdrive Pro work outside the USA.

Sorry, the Broadband2Go plans are only available when setting up a Broadband2Go device from Virgin Mobile USA.

But Virgin Mobile has a solution for you. A Broadband2Go plan and Broadband2Go device can provide mobile internet access (Wi-Fi hotspot) to your iPhone.

The Broadband2Go plans with a Broadband2Go device provides a mobile, wireless internet connection for laptops, notebooks, desktops or other
computing devices. See the System Requirements for each Broadband2Go device to determine compatibility with your computing device. You may need a Mac or Windows PC to start your account and configure your Broadband2Go device.
