Only the Beyond Talk plans are available when setting up the Android phones from Virgin Mobile such as the Kyocera Rise. The Assurance Wireless plans will appear when setting up any payLo phone. You will need to change plans to a Beyond Talk plan and do a phone swap to use a Kyocera Rise.

You should probably contact Virgin Mobile Support before making any changes. They may have to close your Assurance Wireless account before opening your Beyond Talk account. Click 'Support' at the top of this page and ask Virgin Mobile's Customer Care via phone or email. You can also click LIVE CHAT on the left side of this web page, if available.

CHANGE PLANS
You can easily change to a Beyond Talk plan but there are some things that you need to know before switching plans. Here is your answer from the Help FAQs at http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com

You can change plans as your needs change as long as your account is active. And you will lose any unused minutes when you switch plans. So it's a good idea to use up all your minutes before you make the switch, according to the Help FAQs. Note that you will not be able to return to any expired plan (no longer offered) if you decide to change plans.

Here's How
► Log into your account. [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page.] On the Account Overview tab click on 'Change My Plan'. From there you can see the plans that are available for your phone and change it, if necessary.

SWAP PHONES
Here's Virgin Mobile's answer from the FAQs:
Swap your Virgin Mobile phone online

If you're a current Virgin Mobile customer and you've bought a new phone, you'll need to do a phone swap to switch your mobile number to the new device. There is no charge to complete this transaction online.

Simply click here to log into My Account [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this web page] with your phone number and 6-digit PIN. Choose Swap Phones from the 'I Want To...' menu on the right of the Account Overview tab. Next, you will need to enter the ESN number from your new phone and follow the steps to complete the phone swap.
