BOTH OF THEM ARE BETTER BECAUSE BOTH OF THEM HAS THE CAPABILITY OF TEXTING, VOICE CALLING, BLUETOOTH AND ETC.....OVERALL WORKAGE....NAH... IT WILL DEPEND ON THE USER OF THE PHONE.... FYI IN EVERY PHONE, IF YOU OVER USED THEM , ILL BE SURE THAT THEY WON'T LAST FOR LONG....

I would say not the Flare. I got one for Christmas and I am returning it cause I was told my calls were scatchy and it doesn't ring loud enough. I think the Arc is the best phone I have had and I'm going back to it.

This phone is fast if you are way to fast I would get a phone with a key board. So if you are an average/up to date texter you would want to chose this phone.

I am looking for a phone myself it will be my first and over all I would go for the flare. The flare isnt big like the TNT and I think that the Flare is pretty,has bluetooth,internet acess,simple, and has more colors then the TNT. If you like the TNT there is some qualities that are good but the Flare has more stuff and is easy to hind in a middle school/high school class then the big TNT that can barly fit in you pocket.

I love the FLARE. I have had it for almost a year now. I dropped it in a bowl of soup and a hot tub. It still works! The thing I don't like about it, is that I'm a fast texter, sometimes it can't keep up with me!

The "hearability" on the other of of the line it terrible, I have been told....There is a problem if you are right handed b/c of the microphone location (the perfect spot for your thumb also!)

The Flare has the "Bluetooth Advantage". If you might drop your phone or scratch it with your nails the TNT! is a bad choice. It's made of some type of soft plastic. Oh, also the external screen cracks easily. The Flare has two games instead of one like TNT!. The TNT! hasn't froze on me, and texting speed is average depending on bars/service reception.

I've had my LG Flare for over 2 years now and I have dropped it several times because the smoothness of the body slides right out of my hands. However, the phone still works great, not one single problem.

No. I've purchased 10 Virgin Mobile phones for myself and my family, and this one is the worst. I have three of them and they have all failed for various reasons (in one case it was the user's fault). Based on personal experience, the following phones are much better: Jax (nice for the price), Slash (a good basic phone with a fair camera), and the Shuttle (a lot of features for the price; good camera, mp3 player, video, and microSD memory). Even the old Marbl phone was better than the Flare. Those are the only ones I've tried, so others may be good, too.

I had this phone for about a year. It was fine for the first 7 months but afterwards it turns itself on and off when I'm trying to make a call. It's probably a glitch with this type of phone. It's a okay when you're on tight budget but it's made of cheap plastic. Good starter phone for teens.

I love the look and feel of this phone.
It feels sturdy in the hand, and I've never had any software problems like freezing or other glitches.

The biggest downside is unfortunate, but the buttons really are loud. I was texting in the doctors office waiting room, and people were looking at me because of how loud the clicky keys are. Not good if you're trying to be discreet, like texting in a library, doctor's office, or wherever else.

Other than that though, I really liked this phone. Great screen and keyboard backlighting. Very bright.

I got the Arc to replace it because I wanted a camera. But ideally, if I could take the Flare, make the keys quieter, and put a camera on it, I'd be a lot happier.

I used to have the oster by kycera (free) and it worked way better. This phone is built cheap--from the plastic to the poor volume and operating program used to navigate around the phone.

The phone is quite nice. i brought mines in march of this year and its starting to freeze up already for no reason..if it had camera i would keep it but im going to buy me the X-Tc

NOOOOOOOOo i have the Flare as a temporary phone.. sometmes...TOO OFTEN, ill leave it open while im sending a message and it just freezes. probably 5 tmes a day...happens to 2 ppl i know with this phone...NOTTTTT recomended..

This is answered in a VM question and answer. Try this: Go to Menu; Settings; Security; Enter your existing lock code or assign a lock code number; choose select numbers; enter the number you want to block and assign.

I found a way to block numbers. Go to the VM website and download a ringtone that is nothing but silence. There are several of them.
Create a contact for the number you want to block and create a group called "blocked" or something similar. Assign the contact to the blocked group and use the silent ringtone for the group. When you get a call from another number you want to block it's easy to save the number to a new contact and assign to the blocked group!

oh, unfortunately you cannot block incomming calls, virgin mobile can only block text messages which is actually a good thing....

if some one is harrasing you and don't want to changer ur number. like if calling you private. you can go to ur calling history and the number will show. and you can call them. vice versa LOL

There is no way to block a number calling you via voice, only text messaging from a phone number or email is supported, as far as I can tell. Of course if someone is harrassing you, I'm sure you can contact Customer Service, and they'll let you change your number, since they have a record of your calls, both incoming and outgoing, which may provide some proof of harrassment. I recently had that happen to me, and had my number changed.

Yes, this model has serious issues with recieving texts. Sometimes it will recieve texts days later, or just not at all. Good phone if don't plan on texting, but if, like me, you bought it along with an unlimited texting plan, it is not a good phone.

i have had three of these phones they kept sending me replacements because it has a major problem receiving texts decent for calls but texts and downloads like ringtones never worked my tnt was much better and cheaper.

I can charge mine all night log and turn it on let it sit without using it and within 24 hours its dead.

yes when i send a txt my phone forze but the one thing that really mad me mad is that the battery life didnt last long i had to replace my first battery. my friend had one to before me and said get rid of it burns out fast and all that

Setting the ringtone volume on this phone will set it to "silence all". You want to use the setting one above silence all.

press the bottons on the side untill it vibrates or says vibrate!

And if you don't want any sound you keep pressing that little arrow down untill all teh red bars arew down and you check off the little box.

I just press the arow on the side of the phone and then it will have a box that says viberate next to it and you just check that box off.

You have to make sure the little box is checked. The phone will vibrate when the setting is on.

I had the Marbl, TNT, and the Flare. I have to say that the TNT and Flare are pretty good phones and the marbl is the worst phone I have used. The Marbl is so slow it takes over 30 secs to type a word and takes a long time to connect to the internet. TNT is pretty good and is a faster and easy to function phone but that phone fell in the water and the flare is the best I am so in love with it.

I think you should get the TNT or the flare. But the flare is blue tooth enabled whereas TNT is NOT. Both the flare and TNT are easy for a Kid to use and both are great for first phones because they are just plain simple phones with the flare having some additional optional features. The flare has a greater voice volume and quality then TNT but TNT is still great quality. Virgin mobile has pretty great service that I been with them for over three yrs.

the flair is a good phone only drawback i found it may need charged a little more then normal but that does not bother me. as far as comparing virgin mobile to other phones they are best regarding cost,signal& quality overall virgin mobile cannot be beat yet. i spend $20 a month and i still rollover mins using sugar mama also you can put back bonus mins needed in case you run out of regular mins just use the topup cards and buy the ohio state ringtone that tone you can HEAR it! easy to use a child can.buy the flair.!!!!!!!

there all horrid phones the marbl is slow like super slow its takes 30 seconds to type oneword and tnt is the best out of all of them the flare freezes gets bad signal and the buttons are super hard to push the tnt is your best bet no lie.
