Welll I thought this phone would be pretty good, but after like a month its pretty bad. I've only dropped it a few times (surprisingly!) and whenever i open it to far the screens all white or broke up. in the few times it does work properly when i open it it only works long enough to see the background picture, if u click anything then it will show doubles or turn upside down. its pretty strange. gotta get a replacement soon. i probably wouldnt suggest it at this point..

I got this phone a few months ago, and I liked it, but now with usual wear and tear, I have dropped it a couple of times, and now the hinge is cracked, and it constantly opens and closes itself, locking itself,(keylock) and it does things I didnt tell it to do, like when I go to check a text ,it will go back to the other screen I was on without me doing it. The battery is still pretty good, but the speaker is sounding strange. I havent been too rough on the phone, and it should not be messing up this bad. I wouldnt recommend it for just anyone. I like the other ones I have had better, but the batteries always end up goin bad faster than they should.

Yes, the wild card is very easy to open. I had this phone for a long time, i really liked it. Texting on it was very fast and efficient. I strongly suggest not opening and closing it without two hands. I say that because I used to play with mine all the time by just opening and closing it, and one day the hinges just snapped right it half. I got a cheaper phone, but i am soon upgrading to a better one. Overall, i liked the Wild Card, although it is very thick and i don't like the front of it.

answer 5
In the quality of phones the shuttle is WAAAY better. Kyocera just doesnt compare to the quality of UT Starcom. I've had both phones and the wild cards outer screen broke in less than a month and then it snapped in half a month later. The UT starcom was much better. and the picture quality is better in the UT starcom. You can also fit more in it because you can add a sim card to the UT starcom.

answer 6
I recently bought both of these, a shuttle for my husband (who needs a sturdy phone) and the wild card for me (I text alot). I would recommend to put up the extra $10-$20 for the shuttle, it takes better quality pictures, has a media player, a memory card slot, is more compact, and is a much sturdier phone. The wildcard cannot download or upload data from your pc, which is a real con for me, and has little onboard memory. I would have liked to have a phone that I could download free ringtones and graphics to. My next phone will be a shuttle.

The wild card is a joke compared to the shuttle. The shuttle can take amazing photos and vidoes, has a much larger, and prettier lcd screen, and you can put a memory card in it. Did i mention its also a mp3 player, has better bluetooth options, and other features that are just too many to list? Trust me, i had a wild card. It's nothing fancy. The shuttle is amazing!

i have had the Wildcard since NOV 2007. I bought it when it was first offered. the hinge is what gives way, but you have to take care of the phone just like you take care of anything else. In my opinion, you have to drop this phone a gazillion times for that hinge to completely give way. My just broke and I already ordered another....I dropped the thing at least 70-100 times. AT LEAST. so from 11/2007 to 7/2009 is a good run for this phone or any phone and never having to replace anything during that time. And I have been a VirginMobile Customer since late 2002/early 2003 or so.

I had this phone for about 7 months. After the first month, the phone started opening by itself. I was very careful with this phone, but it didn't matter. It's very flimsy. The phone finally snapped in half after i dropped it half a foot from the ground. If you want a good messaging phone with a great screen, camera and mp3 player, get the XTC, it rocks!!!!

I got my wildcard just after new years.
The quality is wonderful.
But some pictures dont come out how I'd want them to.
I send all of my pictures to my email, and they all come out large and nicely colored.

I had the Super slice for less than a year and The pictures were as big as the screen when I sent them to email. Major downer.

SO, in comparison to most phones, yes, the camera is good.

I've had my wildcard since June '08 and in the beginning it took great pics. Now my pics come out blurry and kind of have a grainy blue look to them if its not daytime. The texting is great and incredibly fast. The only problem I've had with my Wild Card is that when I text, sometimes the "F" button doesn't always register when I press it. Other than that the Wild Card is only as fast as the messager.
