i had a wild card till it broke and it wasnt very awesome (unlike the X-TC!!!!!). its only good for txting. and the games arent that fast.
the shuttle is ok becuz it has an mp3 but so does the X-tc and with the shuttle you can record videos or at least thats wat i heard but oly for like 30 seconds. it also doesnt have a qwerty keyboard so if u text alot like me i think u would like the X-tc. im used to the qwerty keyboard because like i said i had a wild card...till it broke in half.
now for the X-tc it may not be able to record videos like the shuttle but so far its the BEST phone ever so far (in my oppion) it slides and has a qwerty keyboard wich is awesome. it also has an mp3 wich is very good becuz i was gona get the shuttle fir that only reason untill i saw that the X-tc was more my style and it has an mp3. i dont know what type of phone u have so if u like music and calling people get the shuttle. if u like texting, music and or calling people get the X-tc and if u just like to text get the wild card.

it's really not that sturdy. the first time i dropped mine, i got a deep scratch. then another time i dropped it, it peeled off a little bit of the black paint, so the scratch was white. Now everytime i drop it, for some reason the phone turns off then back on.
So yeah, DONT DROP IT.

Well don't get another Wildcard. It just isn't worth it! The Wildcard will lag and shut off randomly at times and it's not because of low battery! If you're getting a new phone, get the X-TC or shuttle because those are the better ones...

i have a wildcard and i like the texting and the doublescreen also it dialing is easier in my oppinion than the x-tc. but for features definately the x-tc but just for a nice looking phone i say the wild card. and some people say that the charger break easily on the wild card, i have had my charge for a year and i travel alot and it never have broken. and also the wild card charges super quick when i was going to school i would let it carge for ten minutes and it was full every time. well its your choice i like them both.

I have the wild card and it is definately the best prepaid phone I've ever owned, and ive owned quite a few. Ive had my phone for over 6 months and have never had a problem with it, or the charger. Ive been reading everyone is having trouble with their phone breaking in half and they keep going through chargers, I must have gotten lucky or something. The keys are small at a glance but after getting used to them I can type very fast. My wife has the ENV2 and its so hard for me to type on that since im used to the Wildcard. The only downside is the Tetris game I downlaoded freezes sometimes which is very annoying but other than that it is a great phone.

I don't understand why everyone says there wildcard snapped in half or they go through 3-4 chargers. If your wildcard snapped in half, you must have some pretty heavy hands, I have had my wildcard for about 3-5 months and it hasn't malfunctioned once. Although i have to say, the x-tc does look like like a pretty good phone, but all in all the wildcard was a pretty good phone. Gets boring after a while.

defenitely xtc. i've had a wildcard for several months, gone thru plenty chargers (that break alot), the phone goes on and off without warning, the side where it opens is broken/loose. i love my wildcard for texting but it's worn out and i've only had it for a few months. i'm getting the xtc today and i hoooope it works good. i'm sure. but if you buy the wildcard, don't expect to have it for TOO long. it gets worn QUICK. anddd so do the chargers! lol

I had the wildcard, and now the X-tc. The X-Tc is a better phone hands down except for the keyboard. The wildcard's keyboard was bigger.

I must have had the only wildcard they made, that did not fall apart. After I downloaded the opera mini, I could have lived with my wildcard until it died, but I brought the X-tc for the bigger screen.

answer 9
I just switched from the WildCard and I LOVE my new X-TC.

THe X-TC UPS:
-Has A bigger screen
-Looks better
-It slides rather than flip
-has a MP3 player
-generates clear pix
-Great features
-Great sound (loud)
-The keys are soft and easy to use
-Better Ringtones
-Better Txt-Tones
-Better Camera frames
-You can modify your pix
-Great graphics
-New games
- Dial by sliding out or by the navigation key
-Great reception
the downs:
-No video
-the numbers keys are vertical rather than horizontal
-no smilies for txt msgs

The phone is FABULOUS...just FABULOUS

The Wildcard:
-The screens are small
-when using the flip to often it will become very loose
or even come apart
-not worth the money spent on it
-doesn't have the MP3 option
-vibrate is not strong
-not very loud when volume is maxed
-out dated

I hope this has helped....So in my opinion the X-TC would be a better phone to go with. The WildCard will do the job but if you want a better phone for your money I say go with the X-TC. I Love my phone. =)

I had the X-tc for exactly ten days before I dropped it in the rain and it got ruined. I hated the phone. It's too slow. The keyboard buttons are too small. The battery life runs out quick. It shuts off when looking at pictures.

I was more than happy to switch back to my Shuttle when the X-tc broke.

If you want a keyboard then get the X-tc, but if you want something that will work fast and is much more convenient, get the Shuttle.

The only complaint I have is that when you text someone, it goes back to the messaging menu instead of to your main screen and that can get annoying. Along with being asked everytime if you want to send a pic message or a text message.

Otherwise it is a great phone with great features. Easy to use and the keyboard is wonderful to use. I give this phone great reviews. Sorry for the minor complaint

answer 3
I've had this phone for a month now and I really like it. People think that you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to open it to dial, but if you press the center button once, it puts a dial pad on the screen. There, you can select the numbers using arrow keys.

Complaints? Small ones.
1. It goes a bit slow. I choose to go to my inbox and I have to press it a couple times before it actually realizes that I want to go there.
2. It can get annoying sometimes that every time I would like to reply to any type of message, it ALWAYS asks if I want to reply with a picture or text message. It can be helpful sometimes, but most of the time it gets annoying.
3. When I text and realize that I've made a mistake, I can't hurry and fix it. I have to go back by clicking the arrow key one letter at a time, fix my text, then go one letter at a time to get to where I left off. If there's some secret way to fix typing mistakes more quickly, I don't know what it is.

Other than that, I really like the phone. The camera is decent, and I like the screen. Umm...someone said that the buttons on half the keyboard are smaller--they are the same size, the numbers just make it look like half the size. If you are texting and you want numbers, the symbols for the R, F, and V keys are 1, 2, and 3. The numbers and letters are NOT separate sets of keys. I just learned that the left and right arrows on the keyboard are symbols for < and >!

Anyways, I do love my phone, and I would suggest it if one were to be able to get past the 3 complaints I had about it like I have.

I just got this phone a few days ago and I love it so far.

The keyboard takes a little getting used to. Despite reading someone's really weird review about the key's on the left being half the size as the ones on the right (which isn't true. They're all the same size. -__-;;) I bought it because I have a REALLY old VM phone and was sick of it.

Being a heavy texter, the keys have a nice feel to it. I love how it slides. I agree with all the rave reviews that other people have posted here...

BUT i have one thing I'm upset about. For some reason my phone keeps restarting itself when I close the screen. I think it has to do with how hard I close it, but it's still ridiculous that it does that in the first place. Its restarted itself a LOT. It doesn't do it as much anymore because I've started closing it softer but still...weird. And it's a little slow to respond when you first get a new text message and it gives you that notification.

Oh wait. Another thing.... it doesn't return to the main screen when it's idle for awhile. I'll pick up my phone half an hour later, unlock my phone and i'm still in my texting menu which is really annoying.

Those are all pretty minor things. I'm not unhappy with my phone at all, I love it :D

IVe had it for about a week and a half now. Ill just give you some of my feedback by categry

Camera - 4/5 like lots of peope said it needs video recording. However for photos its nice if you see something and dont have a camera available. Works great in the daytime, not so great in dark areas though.
Also has editing features which are nice, like rotate, zoom, brightess etc.

Messaging - 5/5 Loving it. Quick easy, and reliable so far. Lots of options, 2 text entry modes, holds a god amount of texts (100 in inbox, 50 sent, saved, drafts, and outbox). The keyboard is great, a wee bt cramped but you get used to it. It does have a nice feel to it.

Media Player - 5/5 GREAT quality, gets nice and loud.

Calling - 4.5/5 Very nice, earpiece and speakerphone quality, clear. However, dialing can be a pain. There are two ways to dial, hitting the okay/center button and getting the on screen numbers. but a little hard to dial using the keyboard (when upright) (the 1,4,7,* keys are close to the lip of the phone and hard to push sometimes)

Battery Lfe - 3.5/5 Mine lasts on average about a day and a half (with heavy texting, and calling, and i also dont have very good signal alot of the places i go).

Extra Features - 5/5 Im very impressed with this phone, comes with aim and mobile email preloaded, works nice. Tools include - voice memo, calendar, Alarm clock, tip calculator, stopwatch, calculator, world clock, timer, and memopad. Alll work very nice and i love them.

I love the screen and all of the features, but I hate the keyboard. The keys on the left side are half the size of the keys on the right. I have large fingers and I can not hit the number keys. They should have made this phone a flip like the wildcard. The keyboard on the wildcard and the strobe are better. The keyboard was a deal breaker for me.

The accelorometer senses how you are holding the phone, and then adjusts the image on the screen, not unlike and iPod or iPhone. It is not like a Wii however, because a Wii senses infrared dots.

The accelerometer is merely a sensor that senses when the orientation of the phone is switched from portrait to landscape. Accelerometers have more uses than that though think like the shock protection on a Hard Drive a laptop they can sense that its being dropped.

A motion detection setup that can tell how the phone is being turned or moved. It enables not just this phone, but any "turn and type" style of phone, including the iPhone and iPod Touch, to switch screen orientation when held sideways.

answer 7
Its like what the iPods have. When you tilt the phone, the screen will move while you tilt it. So if you turn it on it's side to text, the screen will change sides. Hope I helped.

It lets the phone know which way is up by sensing gravity. That is how the phone knows which way to rotate the picture as you turn the phone on its side.

It senses the phones orientation and turns the screen. Sideways if you're texting, and normal if you're dialing and using it like a standard phone.
