Question
Coverage Area
I checked on your site to see if there's Broadband2Go coverage in my area. You didn't have data (just a white area). I noticed that you use the Sprint network so I went to Sprint's website to see if they had coverage data. My area is listed as "Roaming" on Sprint's site. How does using Broadband2Go in a "roaming" area impact the allotted data for the package purchased?

If I get a signal am I good to go regardless of what kind of signal I get (roaming or otherwise). If I purchase 250MB do I get less in a roaming area?

Another place to check:
Many cell phones (including cheapest no-camera pay as you go models) have an Icon on the screen when in a 3G area.

Since staff has not answered this question, and I am not staff either, I felt that it should be pointed out that this is a Virgin Mobile service and not a Sprint service. I suspect that since the roaming areas on the Sprint maps are not included on the Virgin Mobile maps, that the roaming areas are not included. I also suspect that the roaming areas are not 3G, and since this is a 3G device, they won't work where 3G isn't.

I do not know the answer to this question BUT I suspect that Virgin Mobile's agreement with Sprint may not include roaming areas on Sprint. We do need a staff response to this question. Remember, this is 3G, and I suspect that the roaming areas are not 3G.

Nope, the device is only set to work for a Windows PC or Mac. IF you formatted the PS3 HDD to install Windows XP, then yes, but I heard native hardware support drivers on the PS3 don't exist in the mainstream (most tinkerers use home-brew ones or USB drivers on other devices 'tricked' into working on the PS3.)

In either case, you can't use this modem on a PS3 to give your games online access or to connect to the PSN... the video-game handling part of the PS3 is in the ROM, and unaccessible to the modem.

answer 2
For prepaid data, no.

Even post-paid service (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) there's a maximum limit of 5GB. They call it unlimited, but honestly, there is no unlimited cellular broadband provider. Clear (owned by Sprint) offers WiMAX Broadband modems for Home/Mobile use that offers unlimited data (for now), but it only works in certain Metro Areas (Not including New York or Los Angeles, the two largest ones which will get service towards the end of the rollout in 2011-2012.) If the device doesn't have a WiMAX signal, it'll fall back to the Sprint 3G network with that same 5GB limitation.

Virgin Mobile doesn't offer unlimited plans for data. But then again, neither does anyone else.

If FI=Finland, the answer is no. This modem only works on the US Sprint network. Great for the US though :) You'll need to use wifi, business center, slow dialup, internet cafe or get a multiband GSM modem and data capable sim card that works on the local Finland carriers (there are 4 GSM carriers in Finland; some have very fast data capabilities).

Someone said that if you reach the 5 GB limit you need to wait until the 30 days are over, which is not correct. You can simply purchase a new plan regardless of how many days there are left, meaning you don't need to wait.

Plan is limited to 5GB from what I read.
You would use that up torrenting 4 or 5 movies.

answer 3
The best plan available limits usage at 5GB for 30 days. When you reach 5GB usage, you get blocked for the remainder of 30 days. For torrents, you don't want this.
