You can switch phones sure. But VMUSA isn't going to purchase your phone. Ask a local BestBuy if they would. Otherwise, you'll have to purchase a new phone, then sell your old on on Craigslist or eBAY.

It *can* be upgraded to Gingerbread, based on the fact that similar models have already done so. We however haven't heard from VMUSA nor Motorola if and when an update would be ready.

The MT is running Froyo. We hope Gingerbread is in the works. There are some issues with the phone that an upgrade to GB with new drivers will hopefully fix. The problem is, Motorola and VMUSA cannot tell us the status of this development work.

Yes, with some qualifications...

You can for example speak your search term into Google Search, and if you are an English speaker with good diction, it does fairly well. I am not sure about other languages.

If you are typing into an input area, and the keypad you are using has a microphone button, you can press it, and say your intended text, and again, if you are an English speaker with good diction, it will enter that text into the input area. For example, I downloaded a Note program from the Market called ColorNote. With it, I can select the microphone button and dictate a note to myself.

Don't expect 100% accuracy, but it can do a fair job.

The phone comes with Bluetooth (BT), 3G, and WiFi transceivers. However, using the phone's internet connection with another device like a laptop (called Tethering) is explicitly against the Terms of Service Agreement with VMUSA.
