answer 3
Depends which plan and phone you choose and where you are sending the picture. Your friend's phone & plan must be capable of receiving a picture message, too.

• Picture messages are part of the messages on all the Beyond Talk plans, the $40/month payLo plan, and $30/month payLo plan. Picture messages cost 25¢ each with the $20/month plan.

• The LG 101 phone does not have a camera. It is not capable of sending nor receiving pictures messages. Although the new Samsung Entro doesn't have a camera it can send and receive picture messages, depending on your plan. All the other payLo and Beyond Talk phones can send/receive picture messages, depending on your plan.

• You can only send and receive picture messages in the United States. International picture messages are not available.

answer 4
Yes, you can. Go to Menu, then messaging, then create a new message. Go up to add an attachment, it will ask you whether to go to the album or take a picture. You can in fact attach multiple pictures and videos, up to 512 K.

yes you can use this phone with the assurance wireless plan, i do and it works great!!! they sent me the kyocera jax phone and i couldn't deal with the small screen, etc, so i got the Samsung Montage and customer service had me up and running in less than 10 minutes, works great don't hesitate to buy and the battery life and all the features are the best for a non smartphone. just read the manuel and set it up. you won't be disappointed. the bad reviews come from people that need to use a rotary phone again that's their speed, sorry LOL!!!

You can find other answers on the Assurance Wireless website which can be found on this FAQ: http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3340. Then click on the FAQ tab on their website.

No it is not available. As of 6/24/2013, if you are on the old minute plan ($20 every three months), and your phone dies, the plan dies with it. You are not allowed to switch to another phone. If you have a phone that still works on the old plan, take very good care of it.

answer 3
Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also known as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes plan to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

answer 4
Yes. Due to the recent plan changes, it is no longer described on the web pages but it is still available.

The Basic Rate plan costs $20 every 90 days; that $20 is added to your phone account. Charges for talk, messages, and web access are deducted from your account as you go.Talk for 20¢/minute, 15¢ each text msg, 25¢ each picture msg, and $1.50/mb of web access. Any amount left in your account at the end of 90 days is carried forward to the next period. The payLo Basic Rate plan can be used by any payLo phone or the LG Rumor2.

Virgin Mobile answered your question in the FAQs:

After March 31st, 2014, you will no longer have the ability to access any of your email accounts through the Email (or Email+IM) application that was made available to many feature phones in the past. The Email+IM application was not included on newer payLo phones such as the Samsung Entro, Kyocera Brio, and Kyocera Kona. Email and IM should be available on your phone using an internet browser and the data from your payLo plan.

This change only affects the following payLo feature phones. Beyond Talk Android and Apple iPhones are not affected.
• Kyocera Brio
• Kyocera S2100
• Kyocera S2300
• LG Rumor 2
• LG Rumor Touch
• LG 101
• LG LG200
• Samsung Montage
• Samsung Restore / M575

The $40/month provides unlimited domestic messages; that's text, IM, email, and picture messages. The email client works with AOL, GMail, Windows Live, IMAP/POP3.

You get 50mb of data per month on your plan for Facebook.

Sounds like you are seeing the Greeting message, which is something you can set on your phone that displays on the main screen to help you recognize which phone is yours if your family members or work associates have the same model of phone. It's limited to 10 characters so usually your first name or maybe your phone number is all you can enter. You can also erase whatever is there now and make it blank.

To set the Greeting, go to: Tools & Settings > Settings > Display > Foreground > Greeting

In the Foreground menu, you can also change your selection for Clock/Calendar which displays in the middle of the main screen.

If you don't want the Clock/Calendar and Greeting to display, just choose None on the Foreground menu.

I hope this helps.

You can not get a list of your text msg. time and date anymore. Just voice calls, top ups and the like. When they did their upgrading (if you want to call it that) a couple of months ago, we lost the ability to see the history of text msgs. Unless it differs depending on what phone and plan you are on. I have this phone and go through Assurance Wireless. I also noticed that if you click on "CALL HISTORY' and not 'VIEW ALL HISTORY' that where it lists the time the call was made will be 5 hours off.

answer 2
Yes. Log into your account. [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page.] On the Account Overview tab click on 'VIEW HISTORY FOR CALLS' or 'VIEW HISTORY FOR MESSAGES'. You can only see dates, times, and duration of calls and messages. You cannot see the message contents; you can only read text messages on your phone.
