Question
Why doesn't the "Compare" feature of the site say there is no expandable memory?
When I compare this phone to others on the site, phones such as the Reef say "Expandable Memory up to 32GB (Not Included)" under Memory, but for the Awe it only says "1 GB RAM / 4 GB ROM". Can someone confirm that it definitely has expandable memory/SD card slot?

Learn about new Beyond Talk device upgrade rules      http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5667/
"...The following smartphones launched before May 1, 2012 and are therefore not subject to the new device upgrade rules at this time: Venture™, LG® Optimus™ Slider, HTC® Wildfire S™, Motorola Triumph™, LG ® Optimus V™, Blackberry ® Curve™ 8530."

Only the Venture is still available on this website. The other phones may still be available at stores or online. Click 'Find a Store' at the top of this page for nearby stores or check their online website.

answer 2
No. It's very hard to find any information on the Virgin website about their mobile hotspot feature. I had to find out about it on another website! This is what it says in their FAQ: "Currently, Virgin Mobile only offers the Mobile Hotspot capability on the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and HTC EVO™ V 4G." Unfortunately, it's only the most expensive phones. One of which is out of stock, another they don't seem to offer anymore. I will be going with another carrier.

answer 2
► Virgin Mobile USA phones don't contain SIM cards because Virgin Mobile USA phones use the CDMA method for cellular communication. Most phones within the USA use the CDMA method. Phones outside the USA use the GSM method of communication. Phones that use GSM contain SIM cards.

► Virgin Mobile USA phones work strictly within the USA.

Virgin Mobile USA phones use the Sprint Nationwide Network which extends ONLY throughout the 48 U.S contiguous states, Hawaii, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. The Virgin Mobile USA phones do not roam across other phone networks either. For these reasons the Virgin Mobile USA phones work strictly within the USA and when located outside the USA, will not send/receive calls or messages nor provide web access. There are no options available to use Virgin Mobile USA phones outside the USA.
