SWITCH BETWEEN PAYLO AND BEYOND TALK PLANS
If you switch between a Virgin Mobile service plan(Beyond Talk) and a payLo service plan, your Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable) may be closed and you may be given a new Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable), and you may not transfer the balance between your Virgin Mobile account (Beyond Talk) and your payLo account. Some service plans are available only on certain phones.

You can change plans as your needs change as long as your account is active. And you will lose any unused minutes when you switch plans. So it's a good idea to use up all your minutes before you make the switch, according to the Help FAQs. Note that you will not be able to return to any expired plan (no longer offered) if you decide to change plans.
Log into your account. [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page.] On the Account Overview tab click on 'Change My Plan'. From there you can see the plans that are available for your phone and change it, if necessary.
BUY A PHONE ONLINE
You can pay for your cell phone from the money in your account IF your balance is large enough. When you checkout, the Payment Method will include 'My Cash Balance' if your account has a balance large enough to cover the cost of the phone.This option won't be available if you don't have enough money in your account.
