Password protection for your MiFi® 2200 device

By default, your device has a password that must be entered whenever you, or anyone else, tries to connect to your MiFi device.

The default password can be found on the label on the bottom of your MiFi device.

Yes, you will receive unlimited data at 3G speeds, 7/24. Your speed will be decreased after you download 2.5GB but you will still be able to access the web.

What types of wireless devices can I connect to my MiFi 2200?
The MiFi device can work with any Wi-Fi enabled device - laptops, desktops, cameras, music players, personal media players, and portable game consoles just to name a few. You can connect up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices to your MiFi at the same time.

Note: Wi-Fi enabled devices must be 802.11b or 802.11g to connect to the MiFi device.

The Broadband2Go plans with a Broadband2G device provides a mobile, wireless internet connection for laptops, notebooks, desktops or other computing devices. It does not provide an email nor web address.

Sorry, no. When located outside the USA Broadband2Go devices cannot provide web access. Broadband2Go devices ONLY provide web access in the USA because they use the Sprint Nationwide Network which only extends throughout the US. The VMUSA BB2G devices do not roam across other networks either.

Sorry, no. When located outside the USA Broadband2Go devices cannot provide web access. Broadband2Go devices ONLY provide web access in the USA because they use the Sprint Nationwide Network which extends ONLY throughout the 48 U.S contiguous states, HI, DC, PR, and US VI.. The VMUSA BB2G devices do not roam across other networks either.

You need one of the Broadband2Go plans and a Broadband2Go device that is compatible with your computing device. See the System Requirements for each Broadband2Go device to determine compatibility.

You're going to need a Mac or Windows PC to start your Virgin Mobile account and configure a MiFi 2200 or Overdrive Pro. Once you've created a Wi-Fi hotspot with your MiFi 2200 or Overdrive Pro you should be able to access the web with any Wi-Fi enabled device.
