Sorry, you must use a phone from Virgin Mobile USA for service. Phones and SIM cards from other carriers and unlocked phones, are not allowed. The plans are only available when setting up a phone from Virgin Mobile USA. The phone's ID is checked to see if it is a phone from Virgin Mobile USA when you try to start service. Only phones from Virgin Mobile USA are accepted for service.

See more info at: http://www.virginmobileusa.com/resources/CTIAFAQ.pdf

Virgin Mobile USA phones are available on this website, at local stores, and elsewhere. Click 'Find a Store' at the top of this page for local nearby stores.
► See the current phones for the Unlimited plans at:

Virgin Mobile now takes certain phones as trade-ins. When shopping for a phone on this website click on the GET PAID TO TRADE tab.

Maybe, as long as it is MiFi 2200 from Virgin Mobile. You'll need to buy one of the current Broadband2Go plans. Note that your MiFi 2200 is a 3G device and can only download data from the internet at 3G speeds even if your plan provides 4G LTE and you are located in an area covered by 4G LTE.

To reset the password, see the MiFi 2200 user manual at http://www.virginmobileusa.com/resources/mifi_usermanual.pdf

Yes. Virgin Mobile occasionally changes their phones, devices and plans.

There are 3 Broadband2Go plans: $25 per month, $55 per month, and $5 per day.

   - The $25/month plan provides 1.5GB  of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds during your month*.
   - The $55/month plan provides  6GB    of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds during your month*.
   - The $5/day plan provides      250MB of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds for 24 hours*.

*These plans are available for current 4G/3G devices like Overdrive Pro, U600 AND Netgear Mingle devices as well as 3G-only Broadband2Go devices(MiFi
2200, Ovation MC760, and PEEL). 4G WiMAX service only available on the 4G WiMAX/3G devices in areas covered by 4G WiMAX. 4G LTE service only
available on the 4G LTE/3G devices in areas covered by 4G LTE. Data access will stop at the end of your plan period(i.e. 1 month or 1 day) or when your
data limit is reached(i.e. 1.5GB, 6GB, or 250MB). You should experience full data speeds while your plan is in effect or until your data limit is reached; data
speeds will no longer be slowed with the Broadband2Go plans.

Sorry, Broadband2Go plans and the Broadband2Go devices work strictly within the USA.

The Broadband2Go devices use the Sprint Nationwide Network which only extends throughout the US, Hawaii, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. The Broadband2Go devices do not roam across other networks either. For these reasons the Broadband2Go devices cannot provide web access when located outside the USA. There is no option to make the Broadband2Go devices work outside the USA.

Question
Can I replace a mifi with the new Mingle and still keep my current plan?
My mifi is rapidly dying. After replacing the battery 2-4x/year, and the power cords monthly. It is starting to have new problems, like constantly going dormant while in use, just for starters. I really don't want to replace it with another mifi headache. Can I use a different device, without losing my old plan?

Your answer is maybe. You didn't mention which Broadband2Go plan you have. Your answer depends on the networks supported by your plan. Some of the old plans that worked with the MiFi 2200 supported 3G only and later plans supported 3G and 4G WiMAX. The Netgear Mingle uses both the 3G and 4G LTE networks. Using your plan, the Mingle may be able to use the 3G network but definitely not the 4G WiMAX nor the 4G LTE networks. And you may be prompted to change plans when you try swap devices on your plan. Like I said, your answer is maybe.

Yes, it's the data limit for a month. Data access will stop at the end of your plan period(i.e. 1 month) or when your data limit is reached(i.e. 1.5GB, 6GB).

Question
How do I know if 1.5 GB is enough?
I have a laptop right now on the cable in my house that I am sharing but it is costing too much and I use my computer everyday, so $5 a day would be too much.
