The Mobile Hotspot option is only available on certain phones.

► You need the following to create a Mobile Hotspot via Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11):
       1. The Apple iPhone 4S(3G network only)
       2. One of the Beyond Talk plans ($35, $45, or $55 per month)
       3. The $15/month Hotspot option in your Virgin Mobile account

       You can see a list of the current Beyond Talk phones that can create a Mobile Hotspot at:

You can buy a new phone at anytime and swap it online yourself.

Swap your Virgin Mobile phone online

If you're a current Virgin Mobile customer and you've bought a new phone, you'll need to do a phone swap to switch your mobile number to the new device. There is no charge to complete this transaction online.

Simply click here to log into My Account [MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this web page] with your phone number and 6-digit PIN. Choose Swap Phones from the 'I Want To...' menu on the right of the Account Overview tab. Next, you will need to enter the ESN number from your new phone and follow the steps to complete the phone swap.

Customers who purchase a Blackberry phone must complete the phone swap with a Live Advisor at 1-888-322-1122, with no additional cost.

Sorry, each phone has its own account. Each Broadband2Go device has its own account. It is not possible to add more than one device to any account.

Can I use this once in a while?
I'm looking for something I can use when my home internet is down. Sometimes due to weather or whatever my regular cable internet goes out and doesn't come back on until a day or two later. I was wondering if I could buy this device and use it when I'm without home internet? It could be months in between usage depending on how often the internet is actually out.

Yes. You can buy a Broadband2Go plan whenever you need wireless internet service. There is no requirement to buy a plan every month. You only need to buy one plan per year to keep your Broadband2Go account active. If you let your Broadband2Go account lapse then you will only lose your choice of Broadband2Go plan.

That's right, the Assurance Wireless plan does not include any data.

There are 3 Broadband2Go plans: $25 per month, $55 per month, and $5 per day. Your Broadband2Go plan and Broadband2Go device will automatically choose the fastest network available in your area. There is no extra charge for 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX.

   - The $25/month plan provides 1.5GB  of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds during your month*.
   - The $55/month plan provides  6GB    of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds during your month*.
   - The $5/day plan provides      250MB of data at 3G and 4G LTE or 4G WiMAX (depending on your device) speeds for 24 hours*.

    *These plans are available for current 4G/3G devices like Overdrive Pro, U600 AND Netgear Mingle devices as well as 3G-only Broadband2Go devices(MiFi
      2200, Ovation MC760, and PEEL). 4G WiMAX service only available on the 4G WiMAX/3G devices in areas covered by 4G WiMAX. 4G LTE service only

There are 3 Broadband2Go plans: $35 per month, $55 per month, and $5 per day.

   The $5 Daily plan will get you Unlimited data for 24 hours when you have a 4G Broadband2Go device such as the U600 or Overdrive Pro operating at
   4G speeds. Your speeds may drop to about 2Mbps when 500MB of data is reached but data access will continue for the rest of your 24 hours.

• When you have a 3G device OR your 4G device is operating at 3G speed then:
   - The $5/day plan provides 200MB of data at 3G speeds during your day.

There are no bills here. You pick either the $55 or $35 per month plans or the $5/day plan when you set up your Broadband2Go account. Whichever plan you choose that is what you need to pay when you buy yourself a Broadband2Go plan. If you chose the $55/month plan in your Broadband2Go account you must pay the $55 to start your service. Data service won't start with a partial payment of $35.

You can pay for your Broadband2Go plan with Credit cards or Debit cards. (Sorry, PayPal not available for Broadband2Go.)

Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards are one way to pay for your Broadband2Go service. If you prefer using cash/check or lack a credit/debit card then you can buy Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards to 'Top-Up' (pay) for your service.

Top-Up cards are available at retail stores and online. You can enter the Top-Up card info on your computer using the Broadband2Go homepage or on this website by clicking on TOP-UP.
