No. Use them or lose them. 'Unused monthly services, including, but not limited to, plan minutes, messages or data allotments, expire at the end of each month or when a customer switches service plans and do not carry forward.'

We spoke with a guy at Sprint and they said VM only uses 33% of Sprint's network. Is this true?

Probably. Sprint has many services and technologies that Virgin Mobile USA does not use such as 4G LTE and IDEN to name just two.

There are additional charges for international messages using any Beyond Talk or payLo plan. So, you will need $$ in your Virgin Mobile account before sending/receiving international messages.

For all Beyond Talk and payLo plans, inbound and outbound international text messages cost 15¢ each. International picture messages are not available.

Click 'Top-Up' at the top of this page to use a credit/debit card, PayPal, or Virgin Mobile Top-Up card to put money into your Virgin Mobile account before sending/receiving an international call or text message.

Yes, minutes are deducted from your allocation when you send or receive calls. The only exceptions are emergency calls and calls to Virgin Mobile Customer Care.

That is a common misconception. Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards don't add minutes. Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards are used to add money to your Beyond Talk account. If you prefer using cash/check or lack a credit/debit card then you can buy Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards to 'Top-Up' (pay) your Beyond Talk service.

Virgin Mobile phones (both payLo and Beyond Talk) need a plan to provide text messaging service. Pay the full amount of your plan every month to keep your phone running; a partial payment of $10 won't keep your phone running.

Additional domestic voice minutes cost 10¢/minute if you have one of the Beyond Talk or payLo monthly plans. You could get 100 minutes for $10 ($10/10¢).

BEYOND TALK UNLIMITED DATA & MESSAGING PLANS: Is this a plan when I do not need to use it, I just do not need to pay for it?
Hi there,
I travel to USA once a year and everytime I would stay for around 2 weeks to a month and I would like to find a mobile prepaid or no contract plan where I could just keep the number and use it for mobile blogging, tweets and Facebook on the go whenever I travel to USA.

Since I am only in USA approximately one month annually, I was wondering if this plan is capable of just paying for the month when I want the service to be active and not paying when I want it to stay inactive.

I am unsure of how USA mobile network works, since it's very different from Asia.

Can you please advice?

At Virgin Mobile USA, you'll lose your phone number and any money in your Virgin Mobile account if you don't regularly pay for your Beyond Talk service. You could pay for 1 month a year if you don't mind restarting your phone and getting a new phone number every time you visit the US.

Not possible, with out paying you would loose your number. Each time you returned you would have to restart an account. A "throwaway" phone would probably be a better idea

Virgin Mobile keeps it simple. Each phone account can only take one line. Need another line? Simply buy another phone and set it up.
