• Call blocking is not available on Virgin Mobile nor is it a feature of any of the phones. But the caller's phone number will appear on-screen while the phone is ringing. Their name will appear on-screen if their phone number is in the Contact List on your phone.
Another VM customer offered this tip, 'I found a way to block numbers. Go to the VM website and download a ringtone that is nothing but silence. There are several of them.
Create a contact for the number you want to block and create a group called 'blocked' or something similar. Assign the contact to the blocked group and use the silent ringtone for the group. When you get a call from another number you want to block it's easy to save the number to a new contact and assign to the blocked group!'
Note that the Beyond Talk plans give you unlimited access to VirginXL on your phone. Use VirginXL to download Virgin Mobile's variety of apps, ringtones, games, ....
• To disable incoming text messages, click MANAGE MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page. Go to the Phone Apps & More tab. Click Edit Message Settings. From there you can enter up to 10 phone or email addresses to block. Or you can select Disable Incoming Text Messages. However, choosing this option will block all incoming text messages sent to your phone... even international texts. This means you will not be able to receive text messages on your phone, except for Virgin Alert service messages. If you disable incoming text messages and then sign up for any text service from Virgin Mobile (like Joke of the Day) or from a third party other than Virgin Mobile, text messaging will not be automatically turned back on. That means you won't receive messages until you switch incoming text messages back on by yourself.
