Messaging and web access will continue even when you run out of minutes during your month of service. If you have money in your Virgin Mobile account then you can continue talking for 10¢ per minute during your month of service.

Use a Virgin Mobile Top-Up card(s), credit/debit card, or PayPal account to add money to your Virgin Mobile account before you run out of minutes. Hit the UP navigation key on your phone or click "Top-Up" on this page.

If you run out of minutes you can also restart your plan early by paying the full amount of your plan.

Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards are one way to pay for your monthly service. You can also use Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards to add $$ to your account when you run low. After you Top-Up, use the money in your account to pay for anything not included in your plan like international calls/messages, extra minutes, apps, ringtones, etc. Put enough money into your account and you can even buy a phone on this website.

Top-Up cards are available at retail stores and online. You can enter the Top-Up card info on your phone or on this site. You can also pay with Credit, Debit cards or PayPal.

Use Virgin Mobile Top-Up card(s) to add money to your Virgin Mobile account and pay for your monthly service. Money is pulled from your Virgin Mobile account to pay for extra minutes (10¢ each) when you run out or for other products like downloads, international calls, ringtones, etc.

Unused minutes, messages, and web access at the end of the month expire and can't be used later. Use 'em or lose 'em. You need to Top-Up your Virgin Mobile account every month to keep your phone working.

answer 2
Yes, you can use Top Up Cards to pay for Beyond Talk plans, BUT REMEMBER TO USE "PAY NOW". When you add a Top Up Card, it goes onto your account as "Cash". Your plan won't restart until midnight of your "Top Up Date". So after you add a Top Up Card, go to "My Account" and click "Pay Now". This will take the money out (so you can't spend it on overage minutes, ringtones, etc.), and make sure that your plan restarts AUTOMATICALLY on your Top Up Date.

Yes and No. Yes you can use a Top up card for "adding money" to your account. You have to manually start your plan "beyond talk" over every month using this method. No, your acccount will not start automatically according to VM customer service reps even after the top up.

answer 4
In the BeyondTalk Plans, the AnyTime Minutes Expire every 30 Days; the minimum number of Minutes available on that plan is 300 (5 hours, to be used during the month): IF RollForward Minutes are important to you, you MAY wish to consider a Basic Talk&Text Plan...not only DO those Minutes RollForward (up to 5,000 Minutes) when you purchase Minutes EACH month, you also have the option of purchasing ONLY Textmessaging OR Internet access, if you wish (because you find that you DON'T use Talk Minutes).

Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also known as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes plan to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

Charges for talk, messages, and web access are deducted from your account as you go.Talk for 20¢/minute, 15¢ each text msg, 25¢ each picture msg, and $1.50/mb of web access. Any amount left in your account at the end of 90 days is carried forward to the next period. The payLo Basic Rate plan can be used by any payLo phone or the LG Rumor2(discontinued).

answer 3
Pay as you go is an alternative to having a phone plan where you are in a contract. You pay a month, and you get service for a month. If you can't pay the next month, you don't get extra fees or anything. Most companies make you pay to get out of a contract and in pay as you go, if you don't pay, you just don't get to use your phone.

answer 1
If you want unlimited minutes you should get either the $55/month Beyond Talk plan or the $40/month payLo plan both with unlimited domestic minutes with any phone within the USA at anytime.

All the other Beyond Talk and payLo plans use anytime minutes. Minutes are used anytime your phone is used for any call. 911 and Virgin Mobile customer service are the only exceptions. Minutes for all calls, incoming & outbound, will be deducted from your monthly allotment on your account according to your plan; there are no free mobile-to-mobile, Virgin-to-Virgin, weekend or night calls for any Beyond Talk nor payLo plan.

Note, if you use Internet Explorer or Firefox you can search these ASK & ANSWERS by using the Search box above these questions.

Minutes are not counted if you have either the $55/month Beyond Talk plan or the $40/month payLo plan. Otherwise, there are no free mobile-to-mobile, Virgin-to-Virgin, weekend or night calls for any Beyond Talk nor payLo plan. All calls, incoming & outbound, will be charged against your account according to your plan. The only exceptions are 911 and Virgin Mobile Customer Care calls.

Without contracts you don't have to worry about who you're calling, their phone type, calling lists, weekends, night or day nor any other restrictions or gimmicks that other phone companies have.
