Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S II(uses 3G or 4G WiMAX network), and both Apple iPhone 4 & 4S (uses 3G network) using a Beyond Talk plan ($35, $45, or
$55 per month) and the $15/month Mobile Hotspot option can create a mobile hotspot. Your computing devices must be Wi-Fi enabled.

If you want unlimited minutes you should get either the $55/month Beyond Talk plan or the $40/month payLo plan both with unlimited domestic minutes with any phone within the USA at anytime.

All the other Beyond Talk and payLo plans use anytime minutes. Minutes are used anytime your phone is used for any call. 911 and Virgin Mobile customer service are the only exceptions. Minutes for all calls, incoming & outbound, will be deducted from your monthly allotment on your account according to your plan; there are no free mobile-to-mobile, Virgin-to-Virgin, weekend or night calls for any Beyond Talk nor payLo plan.

That depends on the features on your new and old phones. Virgin Mobile doesn't have any facilities to transfer contacts. Transferring contacts falls to the features of the sending and receiving phone such as VCF files, USB cable, microSD card, Bluetooth. Google Android and Apple iTunes accounts are also useful. Some phones let you transfer contacts, music, photos, etc. using USB cables, microSD card, Bluetooth, etc. There is no standard method between all brands/models. You may need to use a computer.

Search for 'TRANSFER' in Virgin Mobile's FAQs by clicking SUPPORT at the top of this web page, scroll down the page and click on // SEE ALL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS. Or go to http://virginmobileusa.custhelp.com/
