► The payLo Service Preserver Program lets you keep your Virgin Mobile account active for one year without a payment. The Service Preserver Program does not provide any minutes, messages or web access. The Service Preserver Program can only be used with the Basic Rate plan and cannot be used with any other payLo or Beyond Talk plan. You still need to keep a balance in your account to use your phone according to your Basic Rate plan. The money you add to your account to qualify for Service Preserver Program is yours to pay for calling, texting, messages, web access, ringtones, etc.

► Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also known as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

The $20/month plan provides 400 minutes of domestic calling every month. Text messages cost 15¢ each. Charges for text messages come out of your Virgin Mobile account. To see or add to the balance in your Virgin Mobile account on your phone select MY ACCOUNT on the menu. You can also click TOP-UP at the top of this web page. Use a Virgin Mobile Top-Up card(s), credit/debit card, or PayPal account to add money to your Virgin Mobile account before you send/receive text messages.

If you have selected a Beyond Talk Plan, you may also check your balance at any time free of charge from your Virgin Mobile phone. For all other service plans, you may check your balance from your Virgin Mobile phone for free up to five times each day and thereafter, each additional balance check from your Virgin Mobile phone costs 2¢.

You must pay the full amount of your plan every month for your calling, messaging, and data services to continue. All your services will simply stop at the end of your month unless Virgin Mobile receives the full amount of your plan. A partial payment will not extend your month. Any dollar balance left in your Virgin Mobile account will stay there until you spend it.

The $20/month plan provides 400 minutes of domestic calling every month. To keep your calling, messaging, and data services working you have pay the entire amount of your monthly plan every month. It's the only way that Virgin Mobile knows that you want to continue service.

    Change your existing Virgin Mobile phone number
    You can change your current Virgin Mobile phone number for a $10.00 fee. Simply log into My Account, go to the Settings & Preferences section, select     Change Phone from the right-hand navigation and walk through the guided steps.

    Important Info to Remember:

    - You will be charged $10.00 from your cash balance to complete this phone number change.
    - Once you change your Virgin Mobile phone number, you cannot get your old phone number back.
    - You're only allowed to change your phone number once every 24 hours using our website.
