Yes, your anytime minutes are subtracted from the 1,500 minutes for any incoming or outgoing call with any phone within the USA. The $30/month payLo plan includes the following minutes, messages, and data/web access during your month of service.

Question about a the unlimited talk and text 40$ plan
Where it says additional minutes , messaging and web access. Then has a list of rates for minutes , text, picture and web rates does that add on to the 40$ per month? Or is it only 40$ and you can send as many texts pictures and calls without those charges per text picture or call?

How does the PAYLO plan work?
When I call the stores they are only giving me one option $40 for unlimited talk and text, but online there are 2 other plans: $20 and $30. I would like to have the $30 plan. Do stores not offer that? Also what happens if I am on the $30 plan and I go over 1500 texts or minutes, am I automatically charged the per use fees until I reach $40 and then charged no more? In other words, if I use less than 1500 I pay $30 that month, but if I use more I will still never have to pay more than $40 for that month?

payLo is Virgin Mobile's value brand, offering monthly and Pay As You Go plans. There are actually 4 payLo plans for the payLo phones. All the payLo plans and the Basic Rate plan will only work with the payLo phones. Due to the recent plan changes, the Basic Rate plan is no longer described on the web pages but it is still available. All 4 payLo plans will be available to you when you open your Virgin Mobile account.

You can pay for your monthly service on your phone or on this website by using a credit/debit card, PayPal account, or Virgin Mobile Top-Up card. Select MY ACCOUNT on your phone's menu to start the process on your phone or click 'Top-Up' at the top of this web page to pay for your monthly service.

Your store may be confusing the Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards with the payLo plans. Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards come in several increments and do not determine your plan. You select your payLo plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) inside your Virgin Mobile account by clicking on MY ACCOUNT at the top of this page. Your payLo plan can only be changed by you by clicking on MY ACCOUNT.

If you don't have any money in your Virgin Mobile account and you run out of minutes before the end of your month then the calling services will stop on your phone. You can continue talking if you buy additional minutes for 10¢/minute. Charges for additional minutes come out of your Virgin Mobile account. Use a Virgin Mobile Top-Up card(s), credit/debit card, or PayPal account to add money to your Virgin Mobile account before you run out of minutes. If you run out of minutes before the end of your month you can also pay the full amount of your payLo plan to refill all your minutes.

Lowest Monthly Plan
The $20/month payLo plan is Virgin Mobile's lowest price MONTHLY plan. It provides 400 minutes of domestic minutes every month. Messages and web access cost extra. There are 4 payLo plans for the payLo phones. All the payLo plans and the Basic Rate plan will only work with the payLo phones.

Pay As You Go Plan
The payLo Basic Rate plan is the only Pay As You Go plan currently available. Due to the recent plan changes, it is no longer described on the web pages but it is still available.

The Basic Rate plan costs $20 every 90 days; that $20 is added to your Virgin Mobile account. Charges for talk, messages, and web access are deducted from your account as you go. Talk for 20¢/minute, 15¢ each text msg, 25¢ each picture msg, and $1.50/mb of web access. Any amount left in your account at the end of 90 days is carried forward to the next period. The payLo Basic Rate plan can be used by any payLo phone.

When you start your new payLo phone you'll be prompted to select one of the plans. If you don't see the Basic Rate plan then click on 'Don't see the plan you are looking for? Click here.' The payLo Basic Rate plan will be at the bottom.

After March 31st, 2014, you will no longer have the ability to access any of your email accounts through the Email (or Email+IM) application that was made available to many feature phones in the past. The Email+IM application was not included on newer payLo phones such as the Samsung Entro, Kyocera Brio, and Kyocera Kona.

This change only affects the following payLo feature phones. Beyond Talk Android and Apple iPhones are not affected.

is the 1500 min/text a total or 1500 each?
If I choose the 30/mo plan for the 1500 min/1500 text is that a total of 1500 or 1500 min. plus 1500 texts?

It's both 1500 minutes PLUS 1500 domestic incoming & outgoing messages(text, email, IM, picture).
