Unlimited texting is not available with any of the payLo plans. The best that payLo has is the $30/month plan with 1,500 minutes, 1,500 messages, and 30 mb of web access.

All the Beyond Talk plans have unlimited text messaging. A Beyond Talk phone is required with a Beyond Talk plan.

Question
Where is $10 text messaging
My daughter used to have $10 per month, for like 500 or 1000 text messages. She just used her vm phone for texts. Well I put her on my regular plan but she texts way too much, want to put money on her virgin mobile phone again so she can use it for texts only, she does not need it for calls, it used to be $10 per month for this but I can't find it. Do they still have it? Thanks!!

You can change your Messaging Option on your payLo plan. To change your Messaging Settings, log into your account on the Virgin Mobile site, go to Phone, Apps & More tab, Edit Message Settings. On the first line you will see your currently selected Messaging Option. Below you will see available Messaging Options. Pick the one that is right for you and then hit the Update button. The amount for your new Messaging Option will be deducted from your account.

Virgin Mobile occasionally changes their plans. There are currently no text only plans. You'll find several expired text plans in the Terms of Service. If you change your plan then you may not be able to go back to your old plan if it has expired under the Terms of Service.

Question
Exact Cost / mo
What is the exact amount I'd be paying each month on Virgin Mobile's Beyond Talk $35 /mo plan? MI resident with 6% sales tax.

I know Verizon has all sorts of tack-ons, like federal charges, "convenience fees", and the like, so I'm thinking I'll be paying at least marginally more than $35 / month.

Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also known as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes plan to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

Depends what it says on the outside of the box. Virgin Mobile sells the Samsung M575 for the payLo plans. The M575 looks identical to the Samsung Restore which is only compatible with the Beyond Talk plans. The phones are not interchangeable between the two sets of plans.

You need Virgin Mobile's Samsung M575 to choose the payLo Basic Rate plan.

It's the rate for domestic calls according to your plan. For example, 1500 minutes for the $30/month plan, 400 minutes for $20/month plan, etc.
