answer 1
You can send and receive international text messages for $0.15 each. Unfortunately, you cannot send and receive international picture messages. International calls are charged at the international per-minute rate for the country you're calling plus your standard airtime rate. See the International Rates tab on the payLo page for details.

Any remaining balance is rolled forward at the end of 90 days if you decide to continue service by buying another $20. If your account runs low then Virgin Mobile will prompt you to add more.

Virgin Mobile phones are not necessarily interchangeable between the Beyond Talk and payLo plans. Log into your account, Setting & Preference tab, Change Plan. From there you can see if a different plan is available for your phone. Or send Virgin Mobile a message by clicking Help above.

Sorry, Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also know as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes plan to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

Under the payLo Basic Rate, IF you don't use any of the $20 to buy other services like text messages, web access, VirginXL, etc then you COULD get 100 minutes at 20¢ each(20/.20=100). Think of it this way, you are not buying minutes with the Basic Rate, you are simply putting money into your account that you are spending when you call, text, use the web, etc.
