Buying months early on Paylo Plans
I'm on an old minute-to-minute plan and considering a new phone and new plan. However, something I'm trying to figure out with the new service since I don't want to run the risk of losing my number/service if I forget to renew every month by the specific date.

If I subscribe to the $20 a month plan, never go over my 400min a month, but put $60 on, does that cover me for 400min. per month for 3 months, or will all of the $60 be seen as expiring at the end of the first month?

Only your minutes expire every month. Any dollar amount in your Virgin Mobile account stays there until you spend it.

You can pay up to one month in advance only. If you put $60 into your account, $20 will be used for your current plan and $20 for an advanced payment. Then last $20 will stay in your account.

Yes. You may end up buying a new phone and losing any money in your account. According to the Terms and Conditions:

• Virgin Mobile and payLo accounts are maintained separately. If you switch between a Virgin Mobile service plan and a payLo service plan, your Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable) may be closed and you may be given a new Virgin Mobile or payLo account (as applicable).

• You may switch current service plans, including between Virgin Mobile and payLo. When you switch service plans, you will not receive a refund of any portion of any previously paid service charges and you will lose all of your remaining unused minutes, messages, and data allotment.

• Some service plans are available only on certain phones.

Sorry, Virgin Mobile USA phones work strictly within the USA.

Virgin Mobile USA phones use the Sprint Nationwide Network which extends ONLY throughout the 48 U.S contiguous states, Hawaii, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands. The Virgin Mobile USA phones do not roam across other phone networks either. For these reasons the Virgin Mobile USA phones work strictly within the USA and when located outside the USA, will not send/receive calls or messages nor provide web access. There are no options available to use Virgin Mobile USA phones outside the USA.

Select the RESTART MY PLAN button inside your Virgin Mobile account on your phone by selecting MY ACCOUNT on the menu or click TOP-UP at the top of this page.

When you switch plans or restart your month, you will lose all unused minutes, messages, or data that you've purchased. This includes any one-time services or features that you've purchased for the current month only. Your monthly payment date will be reset and your new month will start today.

1500 minute phone card OK on Virgin mobile LG phone?
I have an LG phone through Assurance Wireless and get 250 minutes free every month. Can I add 1500 minutes through a phone card to this phone? How long are the minutes good for? Do they expire in a month? Thanks!

That is a common misconception. Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards don't add minutes. You can only use Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards to add money to your Virgin Mobile account which can then be used to pay for additional minutes, text and web. You can also use a credit/debit card, or PayPal account to add money to your Virgin Mobile account. Top-Up cards are available at retail stores and online. You can enter the Top-Up card info on your phone or on this site. You can also enter your credit/debit card, or PayPal account info on your phone or on this site.

Additional minutes are 10¢ each when you run out of minutes before the end of your month . Additional text messages at 10¢ each. Charges for additional minutes & text come out of your Virgin Mobile account. There additional plan choices but 1,500 minutes are not available on Assurance Wireless plans. If you add $20 to your Virgin Mobile account you can get 750 Minutes & 750 Texts added to your 250 minute/250 texts during your month of service. Add $30 to your Virgin Mobile account to add UNLIMITED Talk, Text, and Web added to your 250 minute/250 texts during your month of service. The extra minutes, text, and web only last during the same month as your Assurance Wireless plan.

There are 6 plans available from Virgin Mobile.

payLo is Virgin Mobile's value brand. There are 3 payLo plans for the payLo phones. All the payLo monthly plans will only work with the payLo phones. Messages(Text, IM, Email, Picture) are included with the $40/month and $30/month payLo plans.
