Yes, all the payLo phones are compatible with the Assurance Wireless plans. You can buy Virgin Mobile USA phones on this website, elsewhere online, or at a local store. It doesn't matter where you buy the phone as long as it is one of the payLo phones mentioned. The current Beyond Talk phones will not work with Assurance Wireless plans.

There are unlimited talk plans in the payLo, Beyond Talk and the Assurance Wireless plans.

UNLIMITED TALK - PAYLO PLANS
There are 6 plans available from Virgin Mobile. All plans from Virgin Mobile include Caller ID, Call Waiting, 3-Way Conference Calling(most phones), Call Forwarding(most phones),and Voicemail.

payLo is Virgin Mobile's value brand. There are 3 payLo plans for the payLo phones. ►All the payLo monthly plans will only work with the payLo phones. ◄ None of the payLo phones are smartphones.

Virgin Mobile USA phones without 4G LTE, such as any payLo phone, don't use SIM cards. Apple iPhones and the 4G LTE Android phones have special SIM cards that can only be used in Virgin Mobile phones.

All 4G LTE (non WiMax) phones require a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC).

• What is a UICC card?
A UICC card is the physical smart card that is pre-inserted on your device and allows for LTE network authentication/ access. It's a new generation SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card. No customer-specific information-like contacts, address book, or account information, photos, or personal data- is stored on this card.

Yes, you can check your voice mail box from another phone by calling your Virgin Mobile phone number. Hit the # key when your announcement starts. Then enter your voice mail password. Follow the prompts from there.

    You can change your current Virgin Mobile phone number for a $10.00 fee. Simply log into My Account, go to the Settings & Preferences section, select Change Phone
     from the right-hand navigation and walk through the guided steps.

    Important Info to Remember:

    - You will be charged $10.00 from your cash balance to complete this phone number change.
    - Once you change your Virgin Mobile phone number, you cannot get your old phone number back.
    - You're only allowed to change your phone number once every 24 hours using our website.

It's not clear from your message which model phone you received. It's also not clear if you want to continue your Assurance Wireless plan with a payLo phone or if you want to start a payLo or Beyond Talk plan with a new phone and keep your old phone number.

KEEPING YOUR ASSURANCE WIRELESS PLAN
If you want to continue your Assurance Wireless plan then you must have a payLo phone. See the current payLo phones at: http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phone-plans/paylo-plans/overview/#overview

You'll need to swap your Virgin Mobile phone online. If you're a current Virgin Mobile customer and you've bought a new phone, you'll need to do a phone swap to switch your mobile number to the new device. There is no charge to complete this transaction online.

Simply click here to log into My Account [Click ►MANAGE MY ACCOUNT◄ at the top of this web page] with your phone number and 6-digit PIN. Choose Swap Phones from the 'I Want To...' menu on the right of the Account Overview tab. Next, you will need to enter the ESN number from your new phone and follow the steps to complete the phone swap.

CHANGING TO A PAYLO OR BEYOND TALK PLAN
You can change plans as your needs change as long as your account is active. And you will lose any unused minutes when you switch plans. So it's a good idea to use up all your minutes before you make the switch, according to the Help FAQs. Note that you will not be able to return to any expired plan (no longer offered) if you decide to change plans.

Sorry, unlocked phones and phones from other carriers will not work with Beyond Talk plans. The Beyond Talk plans are only available when setting up a Beyond Talk phone from Virgin Mobile USA.

What new phone uses Pay As You Go still?
We bought a new Virgin Mobile phone (Kyocera Kona) from Target. Ser No 268435462505251657.
To our dismay, we cannot use the new phone with the old plan.
We liked the Pay As You Go plan because we could buy a year of service for one low price, $80.
The lowest service plan (PayLo) offered by Virgin Mobile for the new phone is $20/month. That's $240/year.
Please let us know which phone to buy. We will return the one we bought and await your information.
