► Virgin Mobile's offer for the Basic Rate plan, also known as Pay As You Go, expired as of Jun. 24, 2013. The Basic Rate plan is no longer available to new customers nor to current customers wishing to switch plans.

Current customers with the Basic Rate plan active in an account will be grandfathered and can keep the plan until the plan is discontinued as long as they don't change plans or let their accounts expire. If a current customer with an active Basic Rate plan changes to a monthly plan($20, $30, or $40 per month) the Basic Rate plan will no longer be available to them.

Sorry, no. Virgin Mobile USA phones without 4G LTE don't use SIM cards(i.e. 3G). Apple iPhones and the 4G LTE Android phones have special SIM cards that can only be used on Virgin Mobile phones. Replacing these special SIM cards will cause the phone to fail.

All 4G LTE (non WiMax) phones require a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC).

• What is a UICC card?
A UICC card is the physical smart card that is pre-inserted on your device and allows for LTE network authentication/ access. It's a new generation SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) card. No customer-specific information-like contacts, address book, or account information, photos, or personal data- is stored on this card.

Sorry, there are no family plans here. It is not possible to add another line to any account nor share minutes. Each phone has its own account.

Sorry, there are no international plans at Virgin Mobile.

• The Beyond Talk and payLo plans only cover domestic calls and domestic messages to phones within the USA.

• There are no international plans at Virgin Mobile.

• Receiving an international call takes your regular minutes but there are no additional charges to receive an international call.

• There are additional charges to MAKE international calls using any payLo plan. International calls are charged at the international per-minute rate for the
   country you're calling PLUS your standard airtime rate(minutes). For the international per-minute rate that you are calling, scroll down the payLo page to
   'International Rates' then select the country's region in the 'Select A Region' menu.

   So, you will need $$ in your Virgin Mobile account before making any international calls. Click 'Top-Up' at the top of this page to use a credit/debit card,    PayPal, or Virgin Mobile Top-Up card to put money into your Virgin Mobile account before sending an international call.

• International text messages cost 15¢ each, inbound and outbound. International picture messages are not available.

• Learn how to make international calls from your mobile phone

   Make international calls the same way you would from any other phone. Dial 011 + the country code + the city code + the phone number.
